I'm down to one handgun and its in 45... too expensive to shoot, and to top it off its picky about which ammo it likes so I can't even use bulk purchased reloads from the usual places in Canada. So Im stuck blowing like $80 worth of ammo every time I go out, and that's no good.
I was thinking about getting something in 9mm, but figured maybe a good .22 would do the trick as well. I'd LIKE to get something like the Sig Mosquito, Walther P22, or basically any other .22 that looks, feels, and shoots like any of the "big" mainstream guns. I haven't heard the greatest things about some of these guns though... namely them being picky on ammo, and having the occasional FTF/FTEs.
I want something that can cycle quickly and eat whatever I feed it. Any recommendations? Are the p22 or Mosquito worth looking at?
Oh the other reason I want another pistol in smaller caliber is because I recently went shooting outdoors with multiple targets, and would love to have something with less recoil and a better ability to shoot faster than my commander in .45 so a nice bulky 9mm was at the top of my list. Im just not sure I wanna spend another grand on a nice gun (I'd prefer a P226 or a CZSP01).
