Properly called the Model 1892 French Service Revolver, or M1892 French Ordinance Revolver. AKA as 8mm Lebel Revolver.
Anyone have load data or pet loads? There isn't any data at the "usual" places.
I'm using 110 gr "Tallman" cast bullets with 3.0 gr Unique. Due to differences in chamber and barrel dimensions, and brass thickness/volume - start at 2.5 grains Unique and work up in .1 gr steps.
Some info/history on the cartridge: http://www.gunsworld.com/french/18xx/1892_us.html
And some reloading data: http://members.nuvox.net/~on.melchar/8lrev/index.html
