So, I built a nice little bench so I can start reloading - still have not got all the toys, but I thought I would ask how people layout their bench, left to right, front to back.

The bench is 36 X 24, found a scrap cut for a buck at the local Home depot, so nice and sturdy with 2x4 frames.

How do people lay out - with a lee zip case trimmer, a powder measure, the press, etc.

I'd love to hear your suggestions/thoughts/ideas/experiences.

Cheers

Ron

all i can say is make sure your scale is out of any drafts- when i started i used 2x6 for everything, but then i've got a dillon- right now i've got everything mounted on a microwave cart that's been reinforced- 3 lee progressives, a dillon 550 and a lee turret- my scale is on a desk remote from the reloading bench, because i didn't want it shifting when i moved the rams up and down- -

do you find this cart sturdy enough??i was thinking of using this same idea :D i think the cupboards below would be great for storing all the gear, and you can put a lock on it also

The height of the bench is also important for operating the press, some
people prefer to stand when operating the press, some prefer to sit.
It makes a difference, and the bench (or press) should be at the corresponding height.

hey, i'm running a dillon, but i reinforced the area between the top and the lower with a couple of of 2x8 braces ( right from the front to the back) cut to size ( ultra tight fit) and bolted into place with 3 inch lag bolts- in other words ,partition the semi-enclosed area with 2xwhatever and it's strong enough- btw, it's a 550, not the 650 or the 1000
