Hi guys,

I've been looking at getting in to reloading and was wondering if it's worth it to start with a kit like one of the RCBS rock chucker kits or piece it together with individual parts. Some of the kits are reasonably priced but often they add junk parts to it that you eventually have to replace.

Anyone in the GVRD sell Dillon?

I went with piecing my bench together as opposed to the one size fits all. It also depends on what kind of shooting you plan on doing with your hand loads. Me, I am a precision long range shooter. Thus, no progressive on my bench.

Food for thought.

Budget shooter supply sells Dill on. International Shooting sports. Murray Gardner. Otherwise get what you need and forget the stuff you don't. Read a lot beforehand and decide what volume you need to produce. That will be your tougher decision.

I plan on the same. Long range with hopefully some precision.

you didn't see what will be loading for, pistol or precision rifle shooting, and how much will you be reloading?

if pistol, dillon all the way. depending on your loading amount, 550b, 650b or 1050.
for precision rifle, single stage.

I think the answer is dependent more on your budget. If you have 1k+ to spend, piece it together, if you only have 500$, a kit with a digital scale is what you are after

I picked up a good used press here on the EE, and find dies and other stuff at gun shows. Its saved me a few bucks getting a decent setup put together.
