I have a couple thousand empty cases I've been saving up. Plan was to reload them to shoot through my g22.

Ive read alot about why not to shoot reloads through glocks after friend warned me about some stuff he read.

Question I have, is chamber fully supported on a CZ 40cal? or Sig 40cal? Thinking about possibly buying a norc (cheap) so I can reload and still get some use out of all that brass.

Should be no issue with reloads and Glocks.

Have a G34 with 12000 reload only count.

No problems. Almost everything I own is subject to a reload diet. I shoot too much ;)

Use copperplated bullet is fine for Glock, many people use them. Just don't use soft lead.

The warning to not shoot reloads in Glocks refers to the bullets not the brass. Some people reload with lead bullets and use the factory barrel. The factory barrel doesn't like lead and there are anecdotes out there about the factory barrel & lead bullets combo causing KBs in Glocks.

I think the OP is actually asking about case bulging when rounds are shot from a gun with an unsupported chamber, and then getting stuck in a barrel or not chambering.

I think a FCD die from Lee fixes this, but it is more of a problem with 40 than 9mm from what I have heard.

As far as I know most semi auto pistol manufactures say no reloaded ammo in their firearms. The manufactures are covering teir a&*es for liability and warranty. The whole no lead thing is because the feed ramps in some guns are a little sharper angle than others and the softer lead can be shaved off after repeated [a lot] firing and create a build up at the top of the ramp. This build up will cause jams after a while. All I do is clean it off and shoot some more. But I have only been reloading since 1985 and am probably wrong.

It shouldn't be an issue if you don't try to push the envelope too hard. Most problems with bulged cases are from using brass fired in Glocks in other guns. Lead bullets are fine in the factory barrel as long as you watch out for excessive lead buildup.

Cool. I think the one kb in thousands tends to get more attention then maybe it should.

What i was asking about specifically is the...suposition(?) that because in the g22 the full case isn't supported, it does damage to the part of the case that isn't and can/will lead to a catastraphic failure if you reload and attempt to fire it again. I've heard about the no lead thing, but have experienced no problems what so ever with the lead bullets I've used in it thus far.

I'm on reload #5 with AE brass thru a G20 10mm running spicy hot XTP loads and all my brass has the Glock buldge... A trip thru my Hornady FL die irons it out compleatly.

sorry to hijack but what about the buldge they produce on the base of the case

As long as it is being shot out of a glock the buldge is fine but I being reused in another pistol has to be takin out LEE make a product called the buldge buster

The infamous Glock bulge is not an issue with the newer Glocks. Here is a picture of the first three generation barrels.

Note how Glock has improved the support under the case. Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glocks support the case as well any semi-auto pistol does.

The issue with lead in Glocks is overstated. Glock barrels have to be cleaned after each range session as do other makes when shooting lead if leading is occurring. Glock groupies like to go on about never cleaning their Glocks. Part of the macho image I guess.

Mines a Gen 2. Just looked at a couple hundred empties. All bulged. But, willing to give reloading them a try. Will load them down a bit and see how it goes. Off to pick dies up tmrw.

My glock gets cleaned fully after every range session. Started shooting lead so I could shoot steel challenge at the club I belong too. No lead fowling at all as near as I can tell.

Are they just bulged at the 6:00 position down by the webbing?

By the webbing yes. Can only assume now at the 6:00 position.

Most of my "Glock" shot brass is in .40cal and, using Dillon dies to resize them they run through my M&P and Tanfoglio just fine. With the Gen 3 & 4 Glocks with fully supported barrels you should see less of the infamous Glock bulge.
