reloader 17 for 270wsm??

i'm intrested in reloading with this powder for my 270wsm but i'm having a hard time finding any recipies with reloader 17 for it.

I would think it's too quick burning. The 270 WSM has lots of case capacity reloder 19 is probably a way better bet if you are set on Alliant powders, maybe even reloder 22.

You have an Alliant manual?
There's RL15 data on Alliant's site, but only for a 100 grain bullet. 62 grains is Max. Reduce by 10% for the starting load.

Heavier bullets use RL 17, 19, 22 and 25.

Min load 62 , max 66.5 with a 110 gr ttsx. Browning X-bolt 270wsm, I loaded up a few.

Find out where reloder 17 fits into the burn chart, it's probably between Varget and H4350, find a load for one of the similar powders, start low and use a chronograph to confirm your pressures to yourself.

I still think 17 would be too quick for the cartridge, I was loading for a 7mm SAUM last year and was using H4831sc, I had a 300 WSM and used H4350. I still think re19, H4831,re22, powders in that range would be the best.
