I have a micro-groove Marlin. I was out to the range today. 405 GC over 46-3031 shot great. Tried 46-47-48 gr of Reloader7 and less than stellar groups. Any one having luck with that powder *(I have over 8lbs so would like to use it:) )

I have shot MOA groups with 47gr RL7 using ranch dog 350gr bullet chronographed at 1980fps out of my marlin 1895CB (26in) barrel. I is my go to load for 'lighter' bullets.

I messed with Re7 long time ago but when I tried 46gr IMR 3031 with 405gr bullets I just gave up looking for better and just kept shooting. I've got 12lbs and have never had trouble finding it when powder supplies tighten up, unlike Re7 sometimes. Sorry for being completely unhelpful.

Reloader 7 loads from 46.5 and up worked great with Hornady 350g jacketed out of my JM guide gun.
The straight stock and warm loads are not fun to shoot off of sand bags.

No need to go to fast for what a guide gun was designed to do.
Big bears not withstanding.

I use 46 gr of RL7 for my 405 gr loads and I use 34 gr for my 350 gr plinking loads. Both seem to work really well in my 1886. The only problem with RL7 is availability sometimes.
