I haven't reloaded anything since the mid 90's. I quit shooting then but fortunately kept everything but a few dozen guns.

I still have a couple of full boxes of Speer 30cal. 165gr. "Grand Slam" in stock. I absolutely loved them through my 30-06 Sako. Great on deer, moose & bear. Terribly accurate in my rifle, like MOA. No questions on this one!

Now I do have one for the reloaders out there. I have a Browning A Bolt Medallion in 22-250. It's New Years and my wife is babysitting. I'm sitting here looking at a new varmint/target scope and thinking I should take the hint and start hand rolling again. I'm getting lazy and I'm bored I guess.

What are you new, or old, guys shooting now through sporting weight barrels in the 22-250? I'm thinking 50# coyotes and paper from the same box?

52 grain Berger Varmint Match, 34 grains IMR 4895, CCI Benchrest primer all packed into Nosler brass. I use it for everything, but it is also the best coyote pelt bullet I've found. This is a listed max load, but isn't hot in my Kimber.

I like 55 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips in my Rem. 700 with a sporter weight barrel. My particular rifle likes Noslers better than Hornady bullets, and it prefers 55 over 50 gr.

I have a Remington 700 Varmiter and a Winchester Classic Featherweight, both in 22-250 and both shoot flat base bullets better than boat tails. I don,t know why.

Another vote for IMR 4895, owned 22-250-s in winchester, savage, a CZ and now rem.

All loved 4895 with 52-53 gr match bullets, could never get them consistant with 380.

Two of the 3 rifles I loaded for liked the 52g HPBT Hornady bullet, and Varget pushing them up to around 3600 fps. The third rifle liked 50g V Max and IMR4064 best, pushed to just over 3600 fps.

Still working on my load development but I'm getting good results so far with 55gr. Nosler Balistic tips and H380 powder. Oh yah, its out of a sub-moa Vanguard.

It's funny how rifles can be!My M700 based .22-250AI loves the 50grBTs(I/2"@200yds),but is hohum with the 55gr! Mur

50gr vmax over 38gr of RL15 3920fps .9MOA 5 shot proup at 100yds off bi-pod
40gr vmax over 35.5gr of RL10X 4150fps .8MOA 5 shot group at 100yds off bi-pod

depending on your twist rate the 55gr maybe pushing it weight wise and the H380 is known for accuracy but low velocity which will make it even thougher for the heavier bullet to stabilize

I use this same load but shoot a Sierra 52 HPBT Match bullet instead of the Berger bullet.
