Have been reloading .40 and .45 on my lee turret press and have been happy so far. I was wondering why the lee rifle die sets only come in 3? That would be powder die ,seat then crimp right? Does the size and deprime die come seperate? Also does a guy have to tumble them before you do anything? I was thinking of triming,size and deprime and then throw them in the tumbler. Any input would help and I relize that rifle is more labour than handgun.

The three dies are sizing/deprime, seating, and factory crimp. The seating die can also be adjusted to both seat and crimp. Lee powder measures use a non-calibre-specific charging die for rifle cases that don't need the neck expanded. This is the extra die you will need to mount your powder measure on your turret press.

I recently just got into reloading 223 on my turret press as well. I was mainly doing 9mm and 38 spl. before that. 223 is more work cause of all the case prep. but I still think the Lee press does a fine job if you take your time. Good luck with it!!
