Well I think everyone here has a valid point but we must remember you can't load with more pressure than Weatherby does.

Pressure specs for Weatherby cartridges is 65,000 psi, exactly the same as the 6mm Remington, 270 Winchester.

I think he meant that Weatherby brand factory loads are loaded hotter than most other factory loads,and that it isn't safe for a handloader to try to load hotter than the Weatherby factory loads.

There is no way a factory load would intentionally exceed SAAMI specs unless they specifically say so. (ie +P loads). If the company did exceed the pressure ratings and something happened, such as a Kaboom, then lawyers would have a field day and the unfortunate kaboom victim would end up owning the company.

What is probably happening is that Weatherby is loading right up to the max, where other ammo manufactures leave a "safety margin"

I pretty much agree with that statement.I have seen pressure signs with Weatherby factory loads fired in factory Weatherby rifles,so Weatherby factory loads appear to be even slightly too hot with some rifles..
