I want to reload for my Tikka t3 tactical 300WM
Any suggestions on what works best for 1.11" twist rate
Whats the best combination to start with i dont want to have to try everything it would give me a head start

Buy some 194 gn bullets from Matrix Ballistics and load them ahead of IMR 7828 with CCI 250s in W-W cases. You will achieve the highest velocity in a 300 WM with IMR 7828 and good to excellent accuracy with both the powder and bullet selection. The other nice thing about Matrix bullets is that the supply never dries up........Just call Marshal and voila more bullets in the mail in a week.

The heavier low drag bullets will give you best results at long range but they usually have to be seated much to long to fit in the tikka magazine so you would have to single feed them. 185-200gr projectiles would be a good compromise if you are not willing to do that or dont shoot long range. I have had great results on game with 180 and 200 grain nosler accubonds out of my t3 300wm. I would consider looking at the 185 berger classics they are desined to be loaded at saami spec and have a pretty good bc.

Does anyone have any good loads for the Nosler Accubond LR 190 gr bullet? I'm looking for a good load. I used commercial Hornady 180 gr SST to zero my rifle at 200 M and used it as the standard for comparison. My current loads are okay with the 180 gr and I'm now trying to raise it up a notch or two in terms of accuracy at distance. I normally use whatever materials I have at hand and just happen to have some 190 gr bullets with a half decent BC. I'll normally use Varget, H4831SC and N165 but am lacking the right load data. Any advice?

Varget is a bit too fast burning for heavier bullets in your 300 Win Mag. However, H4831sc and VV N165 should be ideal.

With the H4831sc, I would start at 73 grains,, and work up carefully....max should be about 76 or 77 grains with a 190.
The VV N165 is slightly slower than H4831, so start at 74 grains, and work up carefully. A max with this one should be 77 or 78 grains.
Magnum primers are recommended to reliably ignite these large charges of slow burners.

Regards, Dave.

I reloaded .300WM for a while. I started the other way around. I found a bullet that was available and had sufficient velocities for the trajectories I wanted. Then I played a bit with powders and volumes. In the end I was punching 1" three-round groups at 100yds. (But it took a while for discover cheap rifle scopes weren't reliable under recoil.) Then I sold that rifle, and replaced it with one that has a shorter magazine and can't take long OAL cartridges bullets.

I just spent a few days working up a load for my Ruger 77 African in 300 WM.
I settled on 72.5 grains of RL22 behind a 200 grain Partition.
which is the max load for this combination in the Nosler manual.

My chrony showed an average of just over 2800 fps.

I had Bill Leeper work on the rifle last year (pillar bed/ free float etc) now it's shooting one ragged hole at 100 yards.

208gr A-Max's work well in in my Tikka /Tac in 300Win, in to the 0.3 moa when I do my part.

Also the 200gr Berger Hybrid works well.

For hunting , look at the 200gr AccuBond.

Thanks Dave. I'll save my Varget for my F Class 308 155.5 gr loads. Your recommendation for N165 matches what I found at 'Handloads.com' for a 190 gr BTHP. Good advice. That's what I'll try first. Best regards, Clark
