HI folks. I got a 16" 300 blk barrel here that I'm going to be installing in one of my AR's

I have Hornady dies on the way along with some brass.

How much do they stretch on average? I'll try forming my own at some point.

What loads do you recommend? I'm looking at picking up some campro 149gr fmj since they are cheap for plinking.

Forming your own is easy, just time consuming

Work up for a functioning / accurate load -----> don't go for speed only

FYI Use a lube or you will have a stuck case
Start low and work up --- very little room for error in the small case -->.3 of g can mean the differiance between a safe load and  S*** primer pockets are too big to hold primers after 2 loadings

Only like 5-6 different powder will work --some better for light /med or heavy loads

Making your own cases takes a lot of elbow grease. I think it took me to 2hrs to convert 100 cases. Ughhh! There are a couple guys selling converted cases in the EE. Price is a little more than I'd like to pay so I'll keep making my own.

H110/W296 is what I use. I use Hornady 150gr FMJ for plinking and with surprisingly decent results from 150gr to 178gr. I got a bottle of AA1680 to much around with some 220gr subsonics but haven't gotten around to it as yet.

Let me know how those Campros work out for ya. I'm all for cheaper plinking.

Thanks for the heads up. H110 seems like a decent powder for the mid range bullets.

For mid weight bullets like 150gr I prefer Lil'Gun for supersonic loads.
H110 wasn't the most reliable powder for cycling my first 300BLK AR and haven't tried it in the two semi auto 300BLK rifles I have now.
I have a two supersonic loads using 155gr A-max that shoot sub MOA from my NR ACR and my Rem 700, one is with A1680 and the other is with Lil'Gun. I got really lucky and both rifles like the same load. My 300BLK AR shoots it well but I haven't tried it in that rifle off a solid rest with a good optic.
19.4gr of H110 under a 110gr V-max is my go to plinking load. I need to do a little tweaking to that load as it was built for my PWS 9.75 inch 300BLK rifle and I've just kept using it in the new rifles even though it isn't as accurate as it was in the other rifle.
I still haven't tried using IMR4227 but hear it's another good option for the 300BLK.

Unless those Campro are jacketed, they will likely not feed in an AR. Plated bullets require a very blunt nose to survive the plating process and that blunt nose will cause endless problems feeding in an AR.

I use a lot of the Hornady? bulk 150gr jacketed FMJ-BT bullets. They are the cheapest I can find and they work pretty well.

The campro are fmj not plated from what I understand. I like the fact they are Canadian and their 124gr 9mm shoot really good in my XDM9

I am shooting the 147gr Campro out of my 300 Blk and they feed fine. They are good for plinking but they are not overly accurate.
