I've come across some 115gr 32 cal pistol bullets that are .312" and when i see .312" I think 303 british bullets.
So i was thinking that maybe i could use them to make cheap plinking rounds.

Has anyone ever tried this? If so, what were your results?

I don't see why not. I've got a bunch of LEE "soup can" boolits that I've loaded and fired out of my .303's. Makes a nice light load, but it's pretty easy to get the velocity up there.

I use 'em for plinking practice, and haven't really worked out an accuracy load.

Use what the manuals tell you to use for powders, and you'll have a blast.

I've done this, using 85gr .312 projectiles because I couldn't find 100 gr ones.

The 85gr ones are just barely seated over 13.5gr of Trail Boss. My overall length was 2.568

Accuracy is good to about 50 yards.
