Just got myself a nice 1903 Colt Pocket Hammer in 38 ACP (38 Auto Rimless) and now I have to feed it. After a lot of reading on the forums, it's fair to say that I can use 38 Super cases for reloading. I've got 124 gr. plated bullets, can't find the prescribed 130 gr. anywhere, so, 124 gr. will have to do.

Now, where it comes to the charge and powder, I have just a general vague idea of the powders, loads, etc. I'd like to be sure, though, that I'm loading safe loads that won't damage a pretty old gun and that would at least cycle the slide. I have four types of recommended smokeless powders I can use for that cartridge: Blue Dot, Unique, Bullseye and Accurate #5. I am asking for advise on which of these powders is better to use for this cartridge and what would be a powder charge that is safe and fun to shoot. I know that people tend not to suggest load data on the forums, but I'd appreciate any help I can get on this.

P.S. I don't have any of the old reloading manuals that specify load data for this cartridge (Hornady, Lee, Cartridges of the World, etc.), I only have the 49th edition of Lyman, which does not list that load.

Thanks in advance.
