Hey,

Noob for reloading here. Just wonder what powder/primer combiniation and what results you guys are getting?

I've been chewing through an 8 pounder of AA#2 for many years. 158gr SWCs and just under 4gr are a favorite fodder for my 586.

.. Welcome to Reloading !.... The 38 Special is one of the easiest rounds to reload for, seemingly quite tolerant of different loads/Powder etc. .... If you need some 38 Spl. Brass to start with, just send me a PM, as I've got quite a bit, well and truly surplus to my needs ! ( Just pay for Postage ) ...... David K :)

That is a nice offer David.

2.7 of bullseye under the 148 grain wadcutter, 2.9 of bullseye under the 158 grain semi wadcutter. I`ve used these loads for over 40 years with great success and accuracy. Bullseye is dirty but really accurate. No matter what powder you go with enjoy and load carefully. I use only Federal small pistol primers. Have a good one. Enjoy !!!!!!
