Back when I started reloading, I reloaded the 380 acp for a colt 1908 hammerless. I sized with a Lee 380 die that I got separately and loaded bullets with the Lee 9mm set. I used speer 100 gr 9mm bullets. I probably only put through a 100 or so reloads when It was the gun started acting up, the slide was really rubbing against the chamber area of the barrel and cases getting stuck in the chamber. It seems the chamber area had swelled a little, I ground down the chamber area with a grinder so the slide would move freely. Next time I shot it, it became a single shot as every case bulged and needed to be tapped out with a dowel. Then I had a slamfire, the firing pin must have broke cause now it was stuck in the forward position. Now for the past 20 years this Shanghai police colt 1908 has been waiting for me to find a new barrel and a firing pin to get it back in action. I not sure what happened but I think the bullets were too heavy for the calibre so be careful in what bullets you use.
