Reloading .410

I'm looking into reloading .410 shotshells but I cannot seem to find sources for .410 hulls and wads. Any places in Canada/BC I can buy them?

Hulls are tough to find once fired for the 410. When you do grab them since they don't last long. They normally go for 15 -20 cents a hull now also.
Most guys are forced to buy a flat of shells to get their hulls for reloading 410. Lots of sources for wads, epps in ont, wsports etc.
 
I use a MEC 650 press for loading. As said above, buy a flat of good Winchester 3 inch shells and you will be good for while. I pick up a few new boxes each year to keep some fresh ones in the batch. I get on average 15-20 loads out of them before the plastic splits or the brass cracks. I picked up several thousand wads a few years back and haven't looked lately for local availability, but I see them regularly at many gun shows.

I stick to the 3 inch hulls so I don't have to rest my press and they have much more poop than the shorter ones. Last time I figured it out was about 14 cents per load, but it wouldn't surprise me if its up a few cents now.

Expensive shell to buy, but the cheapest to reload.
 
From what I have seen the .444 marlin make better hulls for .410 shotshells. trim and fire form, from what I understand. the marlin's also have a closer sized rim.

Though the hi-jacked comments might be interesting, For the original poster, its best to save up some decent quality hulls by purchasing a couple hundred rounds before you get started.

That should be enough to get you good and started. A .410 is an awesome little shotgun for partridge, but its an expert gun when it comes to trap and wing shots. Reloading is the only answer.
