The older production 416 caliber X bullets had higher ballistic coefficients for more downrange energy. The 300gr was 0.39 and the 350gr was 0.45 compared to 0.298 and 0.345 currently. I still have a supply of the original 350gr X bullets. The current production 350gr TTSX bullet has a b.c. of 0.444 as mentioned.
For my 416 Rem.Mag. I have an accurate 400gr reduced load at 1850 fps MV using Re7 that is dead-on at 100 meters with the rifle sighted 3" high with 350gr bullets.
For use on quarry that doesn't need to be killed double extra dead (XXD).
