Reloading 45acp for Enfield conversion

I’ve ordered one of the Rhineland 45acp conversion kits for Enfield. Is a pistol powder (231 or Bullseye) the best choice for this application, being that it’s a longer barrel?

They will definitely work but you might have a little better result by going to slightly slower pistol powders like like Unique or Power Pistol. Even with the heavier loads you will get complete powder burning in the longer barrel and generally higher velocities than the faster powders.

Also very interested, as I have the enfield with my gunsmith waiting to get the barrel removed so I can install the conversion.

I know it's not "apples to apples" but W231 stuck 45 campros in my JR Carbine. I went with HS6 and have had good luck

Looks like Unique it is, unless there are any other suggestions...
