I am ready to drink the AR coolaide again for 6.8SPC. I reload for 9mm,.40S&W,.45acp,.223 and .308. I see 6.8rem a little for new brass but haven't checked much for factory. What I am not sure of is buying boolits and stuff and if will be a MITA to reload for this caliber. Any info for reloading this round would be much appreciated.

It uses .277" bullets, the same as the .270 Win. Should be lots of selection available at the various dealers. If you can get dies and brass the rest should be easy.

Bullet selection is good. Hornady makes an OT (open tip/military application), a HP (hunting) and a VMax version all in 110 gr. Speer makes a HP in 100 gr. configuration. Remington also sells a fmj in 110 gr. but I have found only small amounts of them.
I recently scored some 90 gr. HP Speer bullets and found them to be quite accurate with Benchmark powder.
You can also get heavier bullets but I found the accuracy and velocity drops off fairly quickly. (They perform much better in bolt guns I am told with a longer OAL.)

A lot of components can be found here in the EE. I recently bought 9 bags of Remington 6.8 SPC brass at a really good price.

The highest rated powder for it is Reloader 10X. It boasts the best accuracy and highest velocities in the 110 gr. range. Henry at Budget Shooter Supply got me a couple of pounds. Not always easy to come by but worth it. H322 works well also.

BTW I recently bought some 10 round LAR mags from Wolverine for the 6.8 SPC. Interestingly they also hold 10 rounds of 7.62 x 39 which is nice because I can use them in my 7.62 AR upper as well as the 6.8.

I shoot this round in a mini 6.8 as well and find it to be quite accurate and no major issues when reloading.

Hope this helps a bit. :D

For what you guys are looking for try 68forums.com, lots of info there. Myself I like H-322 for 95Tsx's to 110 weight bullets. Am going to try some A2200 when the weather smartens up. Will report back.
