Reloading 7.62 x 39 with a 85 grain bullet

I reloaded up a few of these for my sks and they work like a charm. I used the 110 grain bullet data to get me started and used a 85 grain hornady xtp.

Here's a video of my reloads in action.

Any questions let me know they work good but as you can see the 100 grain lead cast with a gas check didn't do so well.

Yeah the 303 will get some of my xtp as well. Any thoughts on a 303 load?

My load with the 90 grain xtp was something like 5 grains of unique. Sound just like a .22 magnum!

They weren't meant to cycle the action though...

Cool the round has its place. I used rifle powder and will work up the load a little faster.
