I'm loading for a CZ 527 - I managed to score some Hornady 123g bullets...powder has been a bit more difficult to find
Bass pro had a lb of IMR 4227 - anyone load with this and what's your recipe

Not a powder I would have chosen but LEE has data 125gr or lighter bullets don't matter a couple grains. IMR 4227 16.3gr/1779fps........MAX 18.5gr/1995fps Also have Subsonic loads 10.6gr @900fps 123gr jacketed bullet and 170gr cast lead 10.6gr @980fps H4198 is what I use 25.5gr out of a CZ 527 carbine for under 1/2" groups at 100yards .Using mag primers with this shrunk groups 50% so I didn't argue with it. Failing that RE#7 is the next best thing and Win 748 will also work.

In the 7.62X39 using IMR-4227 and keeping pressure to 45K CUP or lower, I suggest the following Max Loads:

115 gr - 19.0 grs - ~ 2150 fps
130 gr - 19.0 grs - ~ 2100 fps
155 gr - 18.0 grs - ~ 1900 fps
165 gr - 18.0 grs - ~ 1800 fps

There's no reason you couldn't use heavier bullets and with less powder.
