Reloading 9mm for a Sig 226

I use a 115gr fmj over 4.0 of titegroup.
bullets are about $100 per 1000.. very cheap for paper punching.

Alliant's PROMO & ClayDot

I have used a ton of PROMO and ClayDot, the bulk powders from the nice people at Alliant Tech Systems.
PROMO is my "all round" powder and has so many applications that there is just not enough space to list them here. I use PROMO for 9mm, 38spl, 40S&W, 44spl, 44mag and 45acp.
For 9mm loads that are accurace, not too hot, and reliable, I use 3.4-3.8 tops of PROMO with a 125-130grain hard cast 9mm bullet. PROMO is a dense flake based powder and fills the case so you can actually see it in the case.
BTW, PROMO is just like RedDot, while Claydot is just like Clays.

3.5 gr. BULLSEYE with either a 124 or 147 gr jacketed bullet @1.140" is very accurate in my 226s.

4.0 gr 231 with 124jacketed @1.120" oal
3.7 gr 231 with 147 gr jacketed

both also work well.
