Reloading Antiques w/o PAL

Possession and purchasing of componants is all legal without a pal. I'm not sure about possession of completed cartridges that you have reloaded though. Obviously you cannot purchase factory ammo without a PAL.

its illegal to acquire ammo without a PAL i dont think reloading is included in that but i could be wrong anyway reloading is not for the new to shooting sports and from our early post you seem new to this game and lack of a PAL would also show that

I seem to recall a kid who bought antique guns including a little pocket pistol before he was old enough to get a PAL. He was even offering to make custom flintlocks for people with interchangable rifled and smoothbore barrels.

You can buy everything to make ammunition legally without the pal, but once you put it all together you require a pal as you now have ammunition.

I thought it was ok to have ammo without a pal as long as there is no firearm with it , kinda like how a minor can't be charged for having a cigarette in there pocket Evan thou they are to young to buy them ! I always wondered what if I forgot some ammo in the truck and my girl frend was driving it with no pal is she breaking the law ?

Wrong. You only need a PAL to aquire ammunition, not to possess it. As long as you are reloading your own, you need not PAL to possess it.

Correct. Why do guys think you have to have a PAL to possess ammo? Your PAL authorizes you to acquire and possess firearms period.

If you make your own ammo you do not need a PAL.
