Hi using near max loads for 300 Weatherby how many loads do you get with belted brass? Thanks
I have 300 Weatherby brass that has lasted for about 6 reloads, so far. I load 180 grain Nosler Accubond with 84.5 grains of IMR-7828, 3,240 fps, which is max load in the Nosler reloading manual. It's a German made Weatherby Mark V, 26" inch barrel. It kills from the one end, and wounds on the opposite end. I don't shoot it anymore, it bloody-well hurts! I've down-graded to the 300 H&H.
Down graded to 300 H&H?! C’mon shooed your wording better lol.
I use a die from innovative technologies that sizes the last little of the case before the belt. Brass was full length sized first. I went from 4 to 5 reloads to over 16 with no signs of problems yet.
You're right. I should have more respect for the elderly, conceived in 1925. Allow me to put differently, "I've upgraded to the 300 H&H for less recoil."![]()
