Reloading bench plans

Wow... makes me want to built another one ;-)))

Mine is way more "rustic".. found the plans on the net too at the time, almost all made of 2"x6" with a glued arborite top.. upper storage made of a ¾" shelf bought in special ;-)

Not as good looking as yours but solid as a rock and bolted in the concrete wall for more stability

I built my own for around $25, including the screws.....it was much cheaper and stronger than any higher priced CT bench would be.

Nice looking bench. I'll bet it sets you back more dough than you think it will. Decent wood and hardware not cheap these days.

Some advice. Make sure you can get it where it will reside. I couldn't (with my design ) and had to disassemble/re-assemble. Put a chamfer on the bottom of 4x4 legs (if you manage to find some) to ease sliding and prevent chipping.

Please post the final result. :ar15:

not my reloading bench but it will be similar when i build it

it is made in 2 pieces 8' long and cost me under $500 to make including the drawer hardware/slides

I don't want to be a wet blanket but your storage needs a bit of work.;)

Thats hilarious, I build almost exactly the same bench as the one in the plans never using any plans. The big difference with mine was that I went with 2 layers of 7/8" plywood on the top, then sheeted it with tin that ducting is made from. Very sturdy bench though.

I built the NRMA reloading bench, with a few modifications (I shortened the legs and removed the overhang.)

It's much messier now, has another press bolted to it and hardly any space left in the storage area...

Call me paranoid, but in Toronto the MAN doesn't need much of an excuse to take away all the toys.:(
Also remember that the insurance companies always look for an excuse not to pay claims.
Just some random thoughts.:runaway:

you should see the other shelves (out of pictures) ;-)

It took 2 days to get my new bench to this point. 2x6 construction, about 300 screws and 8 tubes of PL400 construction adhesive. No real plans other than I wanted the top to be 4'x8' and I wanted it REALLY solid. I just kind of pictured it in my head and started building. There are 22 8 foot 2x6's in there with very little scrap. The top is a sheet of 3/4 in maple plywood with 2x6's under it. Sorry about the mess, clamps, etc. I'm letting the adhesive dry for 48 hours before I take the clamps and weight off of it. It's screwed down from the bottom as well, but I want it 100 %. I'll post more pics when I've got the electrical outlets and center shelf in. At this point I can still slide it across the floor by myself. Once I get shelves under it and on top, I'm not too sure. It's already around 200-250 pounds I would guess. The bottom pic shows how to make your legs solid :D
