Reloading Bench..

I am building a bench right away but I had to finish and insulate the wall behind it first.

It will be 2' x 8' and 42" tall. I am using 4x4 for the legs and it will be bolted to the wall. I am going to use a Birch counter top from Ikea that is 1.5" thick.

There will be two 24" x 96" shelves under the bench and two 12" x 96" shelves on the wall above the bench. Allot of lighting also.

I am picking up my Dillon 550B next week and when it's all done I'll post some pics in a few weeks.

Sweet. Looking forward to the pics. I am going to take a look at that Ikea counter top.

Here's mine, couldn't be happier!

Chris, I have the cheep-o copy of your bench and it works well if you replace the top with plywood (cost me about $10).

Come over to my place sometime and I will show what I did.

That is nice!

I drove by a steel desk today that was put out for garbage and have been going back and forth in my mind thinking if I should go grab it. I just left 20 minutes ago and picked it up. Glad I did. After a few modifications I will post pics of my new reloading bench. Should take me a few days. I figure I just saved myself a couple of hundred bucks on the table top alone. It's one of those big commercial office desks. Never thought I would be a garbage picker!! LOL

I'd love to. I'll bring coffee and muffins! LOL Are you going to IDPA this Friday? I will be there.

Exactly what I use for my reloading desk. Mine is L shaped so lots of room to work and store stuff. Perfect height for sitting and working.

Cerdan

That bench is beautiful. Come on you cleaned it up for the picture. I have great bench but would be embarrased to show a picture after seeing yours. I'd have to spend a couple hours cleaning it up.

Hahaa, actually I didn't clean it up, I snapped that picture right after I finished assembling the bench and bolting the presses to it, so I hadn't really used it yet. I still keep the shelves in order, but the work surface is another story!

Here's mine. I am gonna get another one to butt beside it as this one is getting cramped.

I have the exact same one but use it as a regular tool bench. I will be putting my reloading bench almost right beside it. I will post pics soon. I am picking up my reloaders tomorrow.

Here's my $4 garage sale table.
I love having a dedicated gun room:D

I have you beat! Picked my heavy duty steel desk up in the garbage! LOL I will probably spend about four dollars modifying the legs though. It is nice having a dedicated gun room isn't it? Well I guess mine is combined with my tool room but they kind of go together. There is something so relaxing about it. I have a small TV hooked up, good lighting and a nice swivel padded work stool. Can't wait to set up the reloaders tomorrow. :)
