What suggestions/recommendations do any of you have for a beginners book to getting into reloading? The amount of info on this site and the internet is a little overwhelming and I'm starting to get discouraged due to information overload LOL! Also, do any of you know of any types of demos or courses on reloading offered in or near Calgary? thanks.
heck, if you pm me and can make it to heritage park, i can SHOW you all you need to know in about 20 minutes- basically, rifle is the same as pistol with the exception of lubing the cases- i can also scan the scan most of the calibers you'll want- other than that,THE NRMA HAS A SITE with videos ALONG WITH several other sites that show you all you need to know- if you really want a book, it's hard to beat lyman's 49 but just about anything will get you started-
i've got 3 lee 1000s, a turret, a loadmaster , and a DILLON, so other than the single stage , we're pretty well covered- and i can use the turret as a manual single stage
as far as my qualifications go, i've been reloading since 70-71, and i'm still here
send me a list of the calibers within reason you're intrested in
THIS AIN'T EVEN CLOSE TO ROCKET SCIENCE
BUT DO ME A FAVOR-look up reloading pistol cartridges and rifle cartridges on the net with your SEARCH ENGINE, and READ those articles, so i don't have to spend time with the ELEMENTARY stuff- sure, i'll still answer your questions, but it helps to have at least a BASIC BACKGROUND
i'm retired, so MOST of my time is my own, but we can work something out- as far as payment goes, it's just KARMA-
