Just got my new Dillon XL 650 today. In the process of taking things out of boxes and beginning to setup. I bought the XL 650 only Strong Mount, but I'm not 100% sure whether I want to use it: Do I want to stand or sit while reloading?

The top of the press where the toolhead goes is at my mouth if I sit with no strong mount. On the mount with me standing the toolhead is right below my collar bone at the top of my chest.

Do whatever is comfortable for you. Having the tool head just below your shoulder isn't a bad thing. Easier to keep an eye on it.
I stand myself. Mind you, I'm not using a Dillon.

Depends on what's best for you and your back. Personally, I don't reload often, so when I do I do a lot at one sitting. I can't see someone standing at a reloading machine for hours at a time.

I also have a 650. I sit on an adjustable chair with casters. I can easily move a few inches here and there with minimal effort. I have a herniated disk in my neck but I can spend 2-3 hours at the bench with no problem with this setup.

I Stand for pistol, I have my progressives mounted at waist level so standing is best... I have my single stage rifle mounted lower so I sit down... my magma sizer is mounted quite high so I can put a plastic container under it to catch my bullets its harder on your back when the handel is up so high took about 2 weeks of use to get used to it being higher up then my normally presses.

I have a 550 on a strong mount. It's mounted high, on a Craftsman toolchest. I can stand but prefer to sit a bit lower than standing height so I use a bar stool. It puts the toolhead around shoulder level. Comfortable.
