This may have been covered in CGN already but I will post this to give an update. Due to numerous recent requests for availability of reloading equipment, we (along I'm sure with our competitors) have been waiting for reloading equipment deliveries for quite some time. We are almost cleaned out of some of our regular equipment like Dillon, RCBS, Hornady and Lyman. We have back orders in place for most items but due to the unprecedented demand in the USA they are in back order situation. As a example I placed my Hornady order about 2 months ago and was advised the minimum delivery would be 45-60 days but we still haven't seen it. RCBS advised they were over 7000 Rock Chucker presses behind in delivery. We have never seen this back log before and also because of the current interest in reloading in Canada (like the USA) is creating delivery and supply problems. Hopefully we will see our inventory back up where it should be soon. We still have have some items in stock at the present. Phil.

Primers are the first and easiest thing to hoard. I have given up on centerfire everything until this ridiculousness subsides. If it doesn't I am switching to rimfire and selling everything else.

good thing i stocked up on primers to keep me going for a couple years. the crazy prices of once fired brass is about the same as primers. some people are nuts to be charging what they want for brass.

And I believe that there is no such thing as large rifle primers out there anymore!-----lots of powder and bullets-----no primers!

Walked into a store a few weeks ago and bought CCI 250 Primers and they had about 15000 left. went to the other store and bought Winchester large rifle primers and they had about 5000 left went to another store and got federal 210 primers they had 2000 left. But your right there probably empty now I just figure I got lucky.

I picked up 3000 primers a couple of weeks ago and still kick myself in the ass that I didn't buy 10K. That'll teach me.

Now to wait for Rick to get his new stock in.

Huh....Not where I shop. I've been looking for the last 6 weeks for even 1 box of 100 Sierra 50 gr Blitz Kings in .224. I just today found a box of 500 online that I won't receive till my buddy from the states brings 'em up here for me (sometime in June)...I guess the 30 I have now will have to be rationed over the next month or so. Still waiting on some H380 that my local gun shop ordered a couple months ago....but I'm not holding my breath on the powder....I will likely switch to Varget and work up some new loads as I found a few lbs of it around town. You are correct about the primers though...none to be found here either....pretty much a :kickInTheNuts:

Thanks Phil for the explanation. Some of us are just frustrated and like to complain on here because others feel for us.

I'm sure your doing what you can and would be happier selling us stuff as thats how you support yourself and your family.

We just got in some RCBS die sets and one!!! Rock Chucker reloading kit ($460) that had been found at the back of a distributors warehouse. We are still waiting for more tools.. We have been getting in odds and ends of bullets, powder and primers. Phil.

NO !!!! ALL of the shortages are Phil's fault !!!!! He's making everyone panic buy !!!

Just kidding of course buddy :D

I just thank goodness that at least I have all my dies and a few presses already.

What a time to own a company that makes reloading equipment !!!! The worst recession in God knows how long, and you can't get the stuff out the door fast enough !!! Every business owners dream.

Got this a couple of days ago from resoucefulscrounger. Read and weep:

Well THAT just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy with confidence !!!!
Anybody got anything to refute these claims ???

The ammunition companies are publically held entities. The government can't tell them how to operate their business or limit their operations. There are laws against government interference in private/public commerce.

IF the above posting was true we'd have heard about it loud and clear as people would be screaming at the top of their lungs.

Well, in the last month, I have purchased powder from Higginsons, primers from WSS and dies and accessories for my 550B from eguns.com in the states, all without any problem or delay.

There is a real shortage going on, but if you shop around a bit, I think you might find out that things aren't really as bad as they are being made out be.

Remember that for many reloading tools, such as dies/presses/scales etc. you can buy all directly from the states, saving both money and hassle.

He might not be able to ban guns. But seems that he is trying regulate the ammunition that goes threw them. Esp if the Remington and Federal claim turns out correct.

Man what a :kickInTheNuts: :kickInTheNuts: :bangHead::bangHead:

I been waiting a few weeks for some Sierra bullets from one of the very few places around here that sells them. He tells me I have to keep waiting, yet I called his supplier and he says he has tons. of course the supplier will only sell to dealers not to individuals.
