I want to get back into reloading after 20 years and need to buy all new equipment. I am looking at the Dillon XL-650 and would like some feedback on it. I need to reload both pistol and 30.06.

You'll find it difficult to find any negative revs on the 650. If I had the coin, that's what I would have gotten in a heartbeat. Go nuts!
 
I have a 650 and although I only load pistol calibers, I've never been so impressed with a piece of machinery and their "no b.s." warrantee is the best.

I love my 650, but it will not index properly with a redding competition seater and long cartridges. The seater sleeve catches the tip of the bullet when the coal is too long. I had this issue with a straight 284 with 180 Bergers seated out long. My workaround was to disable the indexing for that cartridge.
 
650 is great. Get a case feeder it ties everything together nicely. Read and understand the manual carefully, some of the adjustments are a little finicky, but once it's dialed in it works really well. Get the bearing kit from M Gardner, it helps with the indexing. The toolkit is nice to have. Buy a maintenance kit as well. The strong mount, not so much. You'll want calibre conversions for all your calibres, plus you'll end up getting a quick change for each one too.
