Looking for some input; used up the last of my N320 but have some WW 231, Titegroup, WST, and WSF. Will be using Berry's 180. Note that the CZ requires short OAL due to magazine. Thanks.
My data for my 1911 shows 5 grains of 231 at 1.145 OAL 180 grain plated TC bullet CCI primers and Winchester brass barely made major and the extreme spread was 45 which is higher than I would like. 1.145 is just over the SAMMI max. I think you could go shorter with this load. Maybe start 4.6 or 4.8 with the shorter OAL. HODGDON site says max is 5.1 at 1.125 for 984 fps. That would be 177 PF.
You can likely make major with WST as well but you will be close or just over the 4.9 grain max.
I personally like WST better. I found that the charge weight to be pretty similar for 231 and WST when working up my major PF load.
Haven't worked with Titegroup or WSF.
I running my CZ TS with 4.4gr of tite group@ 1.125 OAL under a 180gr bullet for soft load and
4.7gr titegroup@ 1.125 OAL under a 180gr bullet for major fact
maybe at first. depends on your experience with this gun for me it's just normal load if you want to go to IPSC you get used to it
and the gun weight help you to fast target acquisition
