Reloading for 9mm

I don't crimp my 9mm. Never had an issue with it yet.

Someone can correct it I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the 4th die is your crimping die and the powder threw die bevels your case to make bullet seating easier. So may still have to run your case threw to powder thru dies to bevel it.
 
I give them a very mild crimp just to straighten out any left over case mouth flare....

Only real advantage to a beveld case mouth is to make sure the mouth is round and when loading flat base bullets... I load a lot of 10mm with XTP's and don't bevel the mouth at all, I have tried 9mm with plated bullets and only had 1 crunch due to a dented rim... I do bevel very very slightly with my dillon now.

Well got my lee loadmaster. Finally got it set up and running good. But the seating dye is not that accurate. Any ideas. And i dont want any bashing.
 
Chances are your seating them all the same depth but the tips of the bullets aren't very consistent.... My LM with Lee dies gave me about .003-.005 runout with the odd one around .010 out... I measured OAL of the plated bullets and found out exactly where the runout was coming from...
 
i use 4.2 gr of titegroup under a 124 gr berry Henry at budget shooter supply can set you up with everything you need for the best prices ive seen.

also like the others said take it easy on the crimp it doesn't take much to hold the bullet you basically just want to remove the flare. and measure a few bullets usually they vary in length which is why your having inconsistent c.o.a.l but thats ok as long as it is within spec. the reason for that is because bullets are seated by the ogive and not by the tip if it really bothers you try using the seater for flat nose bullets

thanks guys i havent measured the bullets yet. Mine seem to be out by approximately 7 to 8 thou on average. I looked at the berrys how do tou find they shoot with the opening in the back. I have been using tjose plated bullets from bartons right now will havave to look at some measurements. As for crimp i set it up to a 1/4 turn so it just takes the flare out.
