Just wondering if anyone has any pet loads for this type of rifle. Got it for Christmas from the wife. Just waiting for my dies to show up and will get to reloading. Curious also what type of bullets to use? Probably going to use h1000 powder. the battle is a 1:11 twist

165-180's will shoot fine.
It depends more on what and how you plan to hunt.
With my 1:10 twist, I have shot the 230grain Berger Hybrid Tactical bullets. They are super performers!
My next favorite is the 210VLD, and the Hornady 208A Max.

Goodluck and have fun with a great christmas gift!

I mounted a sightron III 10-50x60 scope on it the other night, that I purchased from a fellow nutter. And I want to be doing some long range target shooting with it to 1000-1500 yards. I was hoping to use something around 200 grains.

I just traded for a t3 tactical in 300wm as well and I will be using 208gr Amax, H-1000, Federal primers, winchester brass. If the 208gr Amax has problems stablizing I might move to something in the 180-190gr area.

Hey arcstarter. Let me know how those loads work out for you. Sounds pretty much exactly what I wanted to use. Just waiting for the dies to show up.

I used to shoot 200gr bullets and get groups around 1.5". Then one day I decided to try some loads with 168gr bullets.
WOW, my gun had never had such nice groups! Pretty much hole in hole at 100m.You might have to try a little to see what it likes.

Some of the heavier bullets don't stabilize until farther ranges so you can have smaller groups at 300yds then you do at 100-200.

You can't have smaller groups at longer ranges in terms of pure measurement. You CAN have smaller groups in terms of smaller MOA. Bullets cannot "squeeze back together" as they stabilize, but they can "stop getting farther apart", so in terms of MOA, a group at 300 can sometimes be smaller than a group at 100, but that is because one MOA at 100 is smaller than one MOA at 300.
