I realize this question might be gun specific but does any one have any experience loading for AR type rifles (5.56) . Are small base required or will regular full length resizing dies work.

Also, does any one have some load suggestions.

Thanks

I have loaded a few rounds for my ar when I use to own it. I never fired many rounds through it but I never had an issue with not feeding. I only used fl dies. I do currently load for my Swiss arms. I find it has a tighter chamber. Again no issue with standard fl dies. However it is recommended that small base dies be used.

Thousands of rounds loaded. Only standard FL dies used.
Manuals are full of suitable loads.
What sort of shooting do you do with your AR? If all short range, there is no reason to use the longer, heavier match bullets.

I just use regular dies. Go to 6mmBR.com They have loads meant specifically for AR's. For plinking I use 24.5 grs H335, it's a ball powder and throws consistantly.
