reloading for AR, what velocitys are you getting

For everyone reloading for a 14.5,16" barrel what kind of velocitys are you getting ? I am shooting a 14.5" useing 55FMJ and 24.1gr benchmark and am only around 2800fps dose that seem low ? Thoughts?

I dont want a $1800 rifle to Blow up ! , Most manuals are not testing with a 14.5 inch barrel so the velosity that they state in the book will be alot faster than what you will get out of a 14.5" barrel . So if I am loading at 2800fps and try to go to the published velosity I could have the gun go BOOM in the wrong way . My lyman book states 22.7 grains is @2793fps , I am at 24.1 and am around 2800 . What would happen if I tryed to chase the max Velosity of 3137fps out of a 14.5 barrel when the tested barrel length is a 24" ..........you see what I am getting at

Probably no boom would happen. It's not about velocity but chamber pressure. Barrel length shouldn't affect chamber pressure. Should it?

Velosity can = pressure due to barrel length , as If I was to try to get the 3137fps out of the 14.5 ,I would imagine I would need to go well over max load , But one might think if they are at max load ,but are not at the velosity there is room to go up in charge weight to reach the velosity published . I would assume there would be evedent pressure signs but who knows .
Just thought I would ask to see what otheres are running theres at for speed

The chances of your rifle blowing up are very low. You'd run into severe pressure indications long before the rifle was in danger of grenading.
