I figured this would get more traffic in here than in reloading so here goes...

I am just wondering what bullet/powder combinations have worked well for you guys. I really want to use varget and the bullet must be some type of hollowpoint boattail. I have some 70 gr bergers I am going to try, but I don't think they are going to stabilize.

Has anyone had any luck with a 68 gr Hornady or something like that?

I doubt the 70 Bergers will work. I also have some of them. I tried some 69 grain Lapua in my PE-90 and they shot very poorly in it. So far American Eagle 62 grain seems to show the most promise from out of the box ammo. I have some 62 grain Berger bullets that I plan on trying. Also I think I might have some 64 grain Bergers around too.

Nickorette has been doing some reloading for the Swiss arms. You might want to give him a PM.

I looked at the 62 and 64 bergers, but no boattail. I really wish berger would come out with a lighter VLD.
I did just find an old thread of nickorette's, maybe he will chime in later.

If you have a 1:10 twist barrel you may want to consider the 69 smk first and foremost as it is shorter than the Hornady 68 hpbt. You may have difficulty loading and having VLD bullets shoot well by the nature of the bullet design. Both the 69smk and 68hpbt have a tangent ogive design that tend to work better with the auto loading and jumping to the lands, over the secant design of the VLDs. Berger makes a LTB or Length Tollerant Bullet, that utilize the tangent ogive that work well too.

If the 69 SMKs don't work out, try the Hornady 60 gr. vmax/amax - they are a flat based bullet, but work well out to 500m in a 1:10 twist.

Good luck!

I have just starting reloading for my Swiss Arms in December. It is also the first time I have reloaded rifle rounds, so everything is really a learning process for me.

The data I have is mostly trail and error, but I should have some promising results within the next 3 weeks so. I just ordered a set of match seating and sizing dies, and I also learned of some critical techniques for determining proper powder drop and ogive length for best accuracy.

Here is all of my data thus far. In Excel format. All groups are 5 shots. Group sizes are total before taking away bullet width. Keep in mind I am a bit of a novice shooter.

Beltfed - Is Bergers LTB Bullet listed anywhere on their website? I can't find it

You're right, they have stopped calling them 'LTB's
The bullets I was refering to were the 73 & 77 grain - what they refer to as 'match target BT'
You likely won't have good luck with either of those in the Swiss Arms 1:10 -but of the two I may be inclined to try the 73s.
I think of the Berger line you'd be better off with the 60-64 gr. varmint bullets.
