I am the proud owner of a new to me 257 Bob. This rifle will be mainly used for deer hunting. The area's I will be hunting also holds Elk and Moose, with an open season overlapping for all. I will be using the Nosler Accubond 110gr or the Barnes 100gr TSX.

My question is would ether of these to bullets be capable for Moose and Elk with the right shot placement..

Thanks for thoughts on this questions.

Congrats on finding one!
Either of those bullets will take down a moose with no problem.
Elk? Well sometimes a .338 isnt enough but you still should be OK if you put one in the right spot.
RL-15 and 19 and try for close to 3000 fps,

Long or short action rifle??

shouldnt be a problem if you keep distances moderate, and place your shot right. Either bullet is up to the task

I use mine for deer only. It probably would work fine with a good bullet, but I think I'd feel more comfort with a heavier bullet than 25cal for moose or elk.

Buy a 30/06 or 7Mag and load up some Noslers. Two guns are always better than one. :)

You'll love the 257. It's a fun gun to shoot and easy on the head at the range.

The 110ABs are great on deer. I've had good luck with 100gr Hornadys as well. Here's mine.

Nice looking rig SuperCub.

I do have other rifles more suited for Moose and Elk 30-06, 338-06, 308.

Since I was a kid I have always wanted the 257 Roberts, I don't know why lol. So I wanted to hear the opinions from other 257 owners on there thought for taking Moose and Elk with the Roberts.

Thanks for your advice.

While deer hunting with my 257 bob several years ago, I spotted a legal bull moose about 125 yards away, just moseying along an open area next to an alfalfa field. I whistled lightly, he stopped, I drove a 120 Partition through his lungs, and he never took another step. While there are better chamberings for moose and elk, the Roberts will do the job just fine with the bullets you mention, just make sure of bullet placement. Eagleye.
