After mounting a new Weaver K6 on my Remington 600 and tuning up some handloads, I went ot the range and sighted in the new scope.
After getting it satisfactorily on paper, I tried for groups at 100 yds. The first three were 165 Hornady's, they shot close enough that all three overlapped.
The 180 Winchester Power Point's shot a small three shot trianglar group, both groups were easily covered with a nickel.
The new Weaver K6 was easily dialed in and really clear at all ranges, Weaver made a good choice by making them in Japan.

Those 600 Rem Mowawks models where some accurate little guns. Have a nice one in 222rem that shoots one hole at 100 if wind is light and i am doing my Job.
Watch a few last Sat shoot one in 350 Rem Mag at 300 yards with a williams peep sight he kept 5 shots under 4 " I was really kind of stunned how well his gun shot.

You think that new trigger guard helped with any of that?
Bet it made it look good anyway:sniper:

The epoxy bedding I did and free floating the barrel along with the action screws being loctited helps everything, the floorplate being more rigid probably adds something to the equation other than looks.:D

.308 Mohawk loads

I got a box of 180 grain Sierra RN bullets from jimmyjazz to try in the Mohawk.
I was impressed how well the big RN slugs did in the 308, everything reloaded so far has been very accurate. The 165 bullet weight is what I like to use in the 308, but it's good to know that the heavy bullets group well in the shorty Mohawk.
