Reloading for the Remington AAC-SD 16.5"

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone would have some powder recommendations for a 16.5" barreled .308 rifle? I am thinking I will want a fairly fast burning powder... The twist is 1 in 9 and I plan to use either 165gr or 168gr bullets.

Thoughts?

For 168gr SMK's my best load seems to be 41.5gr of H4895 on my 20" AAC-SD.

Ok thanks Trinimon. I guess not many people reload .308 for short barreled rifles.

Pretty sure the AAC SSD 308 is 1-10, and the 223 is 1-9

Website probably had it wrong. I don't actually have the rifle yet, but I want to get all of my first test loads figured out. It wards off the insanity of waiting
