Just wondering who has found a good powder with to achieve high velocity with 500 gr bullets ie: higher velocity than 2100 fps.

As well I was wondering to confirm the OAL sammi spec of the 458 WM with 500 grainers?

I am not finding alot of info about load data on this one

IMR-4895 From 66.0 grains to 75.0 grains
Winchester WLR Primer

My favorite load:
Bullet: Hornady 500 Grain FMJ-RN
Powder: 74.0 grains of IMR-4895
Primer: Winchester WLR
Case: Winchester
Firearm: Winchester 70
Velocity: 2173 FPS @15' from muzzle
Accuracy: (Now this is much different than my "usual" requirements.)
4"x4" target; 35 yards; the object was to put two bullets in that 4x4 piece of paper in less than 5 seconds with open sights and off-hand. It does it!

As for BL-C(2):
BL-C(2) From 70.0 grains to 78.0 grains
Winchester WLR Primer
 
Reloader 7 should get you the velocity your after, As for OAL neither one of the manuals I checked had it listed but I shoot a Ruger #1 so it doesn't matter much, I can maybe measure up a factory round if that will help.

Well I have plinked around with a few however this is my first 458.
Loaded it with BLC-2 at 2120 fps and grouped around an inch at 75 yards.

I must say they are not real hard kicker, compared to the big WBYs 738/ 38-378 and not even close to the 460 in recoil.
The one I have is no more worse than a modern 45/70 ?
