reloading manual

I like the lyman, and often recomend it to folk who are starting to reload. I don't trust data off the internet, unless its coming from a manufacturers site. I would like to find a good cast bullet manual. I tend to manage to accumulate oddball weights for caliber and sometimes running down data for them can be an issue.

I keep thinking about quickload, but i'm too cheap

I have five differents books data and my usual one is Hornady. They have two books, most than 2300 pages and they list a lot of Wildcats calibers. The only negative is they use only Hornady bullets. My second favorite is Speer, they use differant brands of bullets but for specials bullets ( BERGER... ) it's preferable to use specific loading book.

I like the Hodgdon website, easy to use, especially for a new reloader like myself. I also have the Sierra 5th ed. , and I just picked up the Lyman last week-end when I was in Vermont( wayy cheaper in the U.S)

I like the Sierra manual for the fact I can take the sheets out, photocopy(and enlarge)the ones I like, and then I laminate them and keep just those ones handy instead of the whole book when I am loading.

You simply cannot have enough manuals. Its always better to have more info than not enough. With that said one of my favorites right now is the Speer manual because it has good reduced loads so I can make shooting easier and more enjoyable for my wife.

Get the Lyman. It has lot's of info on procedure and uses many different bullets. That being said you won't go wrong having a manual made by your favorite bullet manufacturer as well. If I was only going to have one it would be the Lyman.
