So i got new pistol, got excited , reload 150 rounds and.... Turned out this gun i think is sensitive to bullet lenght, basically my rounds seems to be too short for it, that is causing all sords of feeding problems, i lnow its this cause i got box of American eagle and it runs flawlessly! My question is, van i do anything with these bullets? Is there a way to pull the projectile out? Thanks.

Bullet puller from cabelas, it's like a hammer that uses the strike force to push the bullet out and the powder. You just recharge the case and re-seat the projectile (at the right length ;) ). They work great. I wouldn't reload without one in my gun tools drawer.

If it was rifle ammo it wold be easy to do -and worth it.

If it was me I would say it is too much work to pull them out.

Make more ammo, and start with some dummy rounds made very long and find out what the max is for the magazine and for the chamber throat (which you should have done in the first place). The shorter of those two lengths should be noted as the Max length for that pistol, with that bullet.

Then make, say, 25 of each of 3 or 4 different powder charges in 0.3 gr increments. Shoot these and see what shoots best.

Then make a lot of the load that shoots well and when you go to the range, take some of the short rounds too. A real good training practice is to throw a handful of good ammo in your pocket along with some of the shorties. When you load the mag, 1 or 2 shorties will be mixed in that may or not feed. This will give you practice at clearing jams.

This is how I would get rid of the bad ammo.

I had one of those kinetic pullers and it was crap, damaged the case. I bought the collet style puller and never have issues pulling bullets now. Fast and easy, doesn't damage the case and no noise.

To the Op - the bullet can be reused in both methods.

no, the bullet comes out intact- your powder and bullet come out in the nose of the hammer- and you can re-use the primer too- just press it out SLOWLY with your press decapping pin- then start off just like before- resize, prime, powder- you can put the powder from the short round back in the pot , provided you didn't change powders, and put the bullet back on top- just like u did before, with the bullet seater turned up a bit- did u not use a FACTORY round to set - up to begin with?

your bullet will remain the same as you first loaded it. I have pulled lot of bullets in my time and it does not damage them.

abd I\ve had the KINETICS one since the 70's and never lost the case yet- must be OPERATOR ERROR

Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller or RCBS Collet Bullet Puller if you dont like kinetic/impact puller but then yo need collets for each calibre.

ok i see above post its 9mm.

Just use whatever type of puller you prefer, and pull them a little bit longer than the length you want them to end up at. Then use your press and seat them in to the new length. This might be a bit tricky to do without pulling them right out, but if you do its no big deal. Just save the powder/bullets and reload. Once you get going you'll be done in no time.

Why would he de-prime?

Actually it is quite simple with the hammer type puller, just put a leather or rubber plug (basically anything that will fill the void will work) in the bottom of the hammer cartridge space and leave only enough space for your cartridge with a bit of "bullet" movement space as well and hammer away. The bullet will only come out enough to allow re-seating and not spill the powder, doesn't require a 'total reload sequence.

Nice!

Did you crimp? Could push them in more.
Rcbs makes a collet type bullet puller too. No hammering. Don't throw powder everywhere either.

b/c that's the way my press works- ie depriming and resizing are done on the same stroke- you just have to "catch " the primer as it comes out of the case instead of having it drop into the spent primers bin- i'm using a lee 1000 - other than that, you have to pull the bullet, deprime, resize, powder charge and seat- the reason you resize is to take care of any case expansion caused by the bullet as it comes out of the case
