Reloading Newb with a Question for the Experts

Hi All,

Just started reloading my 9mm and want to begin reloading my .45 auto. Shot off about 1k rds of my 9mm reloads. Used HS-6 with very good results but can't seem to find a good, reliable, reasonably priced powder supplier locally.

Anyone know of such a place either local or online where I can find s good deal on something that would work good with these 2 calibre's?

Yup don't know where you are located...

But for me.. I have good luck finding Titegroup and Clays regularly. I know lots of guys use those 2 powders so they seem pretty easy to find. Titegroup works good in 9mm, 40 and 45.

You definitely want to stick local as shipping can be costly for powder.

Couldn't find any tight group today at cabbalas, WS or P&D.
 
You couldn't find Titegroup at P&D... Strange, they have always had it every time I've checked..

Another option is Phoenix. They had it last time I checked, although they are a little more pricey than P&D.

If you make up a decent sized order on components and powders that you're going to be using for a while, the shipping becomes more economical.
Unlike batteries, groceries, etc., this stuff doesn't go bad!;)

Use Titegroup for both 9 & 45, both @ 3.8 ;) Makes my life just a little easier.
 
HS-6 works great for me in 9mm, 40, 10mm and 45 with bullets at the heavier end of the spectrum for each.

The charge weight is higher so you don't get as many loads per pound which I guess is why it's not more popular. If you don't mind that it's a nice clean burning powder that meters very well through a powder measure.
 
I have been buying power pistol from wholesale sports and they always seem to have it. If not p and d usually Carries HS-6. I seem to have great luck with those two powders.
