Reloading norinco yellow box .223???

I saved quite a bit of this stuff from 93, 94, and 95 headstamp.

I can't seem to find any realistic info on whether its worth reloading. A couple old 2006 threads on other forums say no. Some more recent posts, including cgn, suggest yes.

Is the brass too soft? Should I just bin it???
 
I've reloaded it with no problems. It's work a try anyway.

The great thing is, because you have soooooo much of it, if you wanted to, you could cull thru' it to cherry pick match a nice batch if you are loading for accuracy.

I just recently started reloading with the stuff. That's what I did. Weighed a bunch on my reloading scale till I had a batch where each brass was the same.
Got some decent accuracy out of it. It was no less accurate then the R-P stuff I was using before. Only got 4 loadings on this set so I can't vouch for load life.

Question you have to ask yourself, is what kind of ammo are you reloading. Match grade for a posh precision rifle? Or just fmj plinking stuff to feed your tactical carbine ?

I figure I got so much of the stuff, I ought to find a way to make it work for me.
 
I load it with 55 FMJ for CQB and plinking. The ammo is loaded mild - just hot enough to cycle the rifle 100% of the time. It lasts quite well and works for the purpose. For my single shot target rifle, I use Winchester cases from the same lot#.
 
I've expieeianced a split case and a fee split necks on the first firing (factory load). And all of them have primer pockets that are looser then I like (both CJ95 and CJ93). I don't go out of my way to save this brass but its reloadable. I use it only for AR15 plinking ammo.
Hornady or winchester for my target rifle.
 
Personally I haven't had any problems with it. Especially for the plinking.
I've only been reloading since Feb, but I've found that the length is better than similarly cheap factory ammo. (Well nearly as cheap.)
As the previous posts stated, after sizing I give a quick weigh before my normal reloading ablutions.

(Also, I've found it takes 55gr LC pretty well and haven't had any problems with hotter H335 loadings.)
