Resizing brass tonight, got a rhythm going, mind wandered and I managed not once but twice to insert my finger between the case and decapping pin as the ram was raising. Just a big blood blister but I swear every hair on my body stood on end each time it happened. Think I would have learned to pay more attention after the first bite :)

Damn-near took the end of my finger off with mine. I wasn't flaring the 9mm brass ver much, so was holding the bullet between left thumb and index finger, while raising the brass into the die, and *AAARRGGH*!

I've learned, but will it happen again anyway...

The worst is when your mind thinks stop, this is going to hurt!! 1/1000 of a second before it happens and your hand does not have time to take the orders!!

Good thing you weren't working with a band saw, huh?

ha! I do the same thing but I have yet to be injured

I will learn to pay attention more. Don't have a band saw but pay 100% attention with the table saw and router.

Not long ago I was emailed a pic of a fella that fell from a ladder while using a cordless drill....completely drove a screw driver tip through his thumb...ouch.

Know a construction guy who was putting up rafters on a new house. Nailed his foot to the top flange using a nail gun. Was talking to a co-worker and not watching what he was doing. Brings new meaning to the term "toe nailing".

Little accidents are nature's way of teaching us to avoid the big ones.

I happened to me only while working on 9mm. 38 & 40 in a okay with. Maybe my fingers are to big for 9mm.
