Just a public service announcement. Likely most of you know this already but for some of those that may not be as internet savvy. An older friend at my club fell for the trap and is now out hundreds of dollars with nothing to show for it. Remember if it looks too good to be true it likely is.

Take reloading primer shop canada for example. When there is a large market demand the scammers come out of the woodwork. The online reloading store scam has been kicking around the states for a while and it looks like someone is giving it a try in Canada. Website looks professional, lots of stock, automated customer service chat window, prices on par with 5 years ago...every reloaders dream. Don't fall for it. The weird payment terms should be a dead giveaway.

We are all frustrated with the lack of stock available in Canada and the inflated prices, but don't let it affect your better judgement. If it looks like a scam and it sounds like a scam its a scam.

If I'm wrong and people have been able to get their dream orders of primers and powder through this company please share your experiences.

[Bold] That should be a big red flag right there on it's own.

There's gotta be a more effective way to report and remove these search results. Otherwise what's to stop anyone from making a website with a commerce module and collecting easy payment?

I've pressed report on the Google search results but I'm not sure how effective it is, as it is Google's own search algorithm that is promoting this website so highly in the results

Totally fake, cheesy and lame. click on about us. It talks about second amendment rights. It essentially looks like a copy of another website that someone did a half ass job of copy and pasting.

The address is actually a gun shop called Gunco. The owner called me yesterday to ask if I had heard about this scam.

He is getting irate calls about bogus orders not going out.

For the record...Gunco does not do any online marketing.

Great Gunsmith but not a computer guy by any means lol.

Damn I hate scammers! My club buddy was likely one of the people that called Gunco irate about his order not being fulfilled.

...interesting that the scammers thought far enough ahead to find and hide behind the address of a known legit gunsmith who doesn't have strong computer skills.

Its times like these I wish I knew more about computers and "hacking". I'd love to be able to track them down.

They are using the address of the most reputable gunsmith in Ottawa. Gunco is a gunsmithing business at that address but they aren't in the reloading business and don't have a big online presence.

I was there 2 weeks ago and can confirm there is no reloading store there.

I had a quick text conversation a few days ago with this scamer. I asked to visit his store. He said the store was under construction. When I told him the address was my gun Smith. He ended the conversation.

Buddy of mine just got scammed by them. They deal with EMT.They won’t take credit cards. Can’t do the fraudulent charge back things. They It goes to a person called Patrick James. They tried a second time with him. They said the first EMT didn’t go through so they gave him a second EMT Address. He didn’t do it the second time. He is rather disgusted with himself. I just wish I had talked to him before he placed the order. Bank can’t do anything about it. RCMP probably can’t do anything about it. So his money is gone.

It is a huge scam, I saw the website and scrolled down then found this:

"We’re passionate about two things – our customers and our freedom. We are committed to providing excellent service and doing our part in preserving liberties like the Second Amendment. That is why we are known as America’s Ammo Source, and that is what sets us apart from the rest (as well as some of the cheapest ammo online)."

Then I knew it was a scam...

It sucks for your friend

This is why even though Credit Cards get a bad wrap they are still all I will ever use online
