reloading scales what is your #1 choice ??????

I just added the hornady auto charge dispenser to the bench. It's no Chargemaster I'm sure but the price I got it for was worth trying it. I use the 5-0-5 to confirm and they are all within a tenth. Once I start getting into longer range stuff I will just throw bulk with the hornady and fine tune with a gempro and trickler.

Anyone considering the hornady. I am happy so far. Experienced 2 over charges in 150 charges. No straw mod yet and I was throwing 4064. Sure speeds things up

The only way to know if your scale is accurate is to check it against certified check weights. This applies to all scales regardless of their price or advertising claims.

Ive only played with the rcbs 505 since I started reloading. I would like to try something new out down the road sometime. Sometimes I get a funny feeling that this scale is out and not readin the same all the time.

My Frankford Arsenal DS-750 is working perfectly so far. For the price, I have no complaints whatsoever.

I believe I am over thinking this, for some reason I was under the impression that i needed an expensive scale. I would rather spend the price for the Frankford Arsenal DS-750 if that one works. Seems like it has good reviews as well.

I have a hornady lock and load auto charge dispencer... that thing over load 75% of the time. It can be by up to 1 gr.. I need to double check it ad re weight ofthen.

Indeed. I went through the same mental process. Saw lots of people spending hundreds of dollars and thought I had to as well. This isn't the case. According to the review on Chuck Hawks and many other personal reviews I have read on Amazon, etc., the DS-750 is pretty-much the perfect balance of price, accuracy, features, included accessories, and ease of use. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I went through the same mental process when I decided to get into reloading. Started looking at the various starter kits, presses, etc. and all I saw was $$$$ racking up in my mind. Then I discovered the Classic Lee Loaders. Since I only need to load a few hundred rounds a year, this $40 loading kit is an absolutely perfect solution. I *literally* got into reloading for $107 (Lee Loader, scale, calipers) + powder and projectiles, and the best of my first loads shoot considerably better than factory ammo. I will need to get a Lee case conditioning kit (trimmer, chamfer tool) but I have enough brass of proper spec, for now. For another $40, I can start reloading .270 as well. Then I am all set.

Just got my new RCBS Chargemaster 1500 combo up and running - about 340$ CDN from Natchez after rebate.... Awesome!

They still have that sale on, 289.00 USD.

I have one and just love it its very accurate , the only thing ive done is use a piece of straw in the spout and youll see the difference in the accuracy on the powder charges !!!!!!
