Howdy, I tried to find but it looks like I'm either not skilled at finding or there is no one selling what I'm looking for.
I want to reload steel shot for geese and ducks and I cannot find any store who sells 3 and 3.5 inch hulls and also wads for this type of shotshell reloading.
I know where to find powder, steel shot, primers etc except for hulls and wads.
Any straight answer would me much appreciated.
Thank you

TNT in sask for your shot and wads
Hulls in canada just about impossible unless you get some guides to save you what they pick up around their blinds and buy from them
I would try a WTB on the EE
Cheers

Sporthèque in Drummondville has Cheddite 3 inch hulls and wads for steel shot.

pacobillie, thanx pardner. Spoteque has everything I need. I'm in business now.

I have two PW 375B (old ladies) that I will transform them in 375C for steel loads. One will be for 3" and the other one for 3.5" shells. Also I have an extra tool head for PW 375 that I will set it up for 2.75" shells for lead. I have to say goodbye to my Spolar for lead loads and downsize.
Can't wait to start crankin steel.

You will not beat the price of Score or Challenger 3 inch loads on sale.
Components are expensive in Canada.
Another supplier is Will Bilozir, out of deWinton Alberta, who does the Gun shows in the West.

I bought my steel supplies incl Alliant Steel powder at the pro shop in Stittsville Ont. I really think it's cheaper to just buy factory fodder.

Anyone here ever used the Ballistic Products manual for loading steel? I bought it and looking at the recipes I kinda wonder about some of their recipes if they are safe to use or not.
Some show some fantastic speeds and that is what makes me wonder.
Anyway, anyone here is using "Status of Steel" 19th edition manual for reloading steel shot for waterfowl?

With the latest versions of cartridges loaded with steel from North American manufacturers you can only load different cartridges not better cartridges. I think reloading steel is just for fun and interest now. I don't believe anyone could reload a steel shell better than what you can buy. As for the cost, buy in bulk , on sale and it will be way cheaper than reloading.

Thank you for the input but I know exactly why I want to load my own. I was just curious if there are people using the manual "Status of Steel" as a main reference for their reloads.

Don't agree with that one. Yes steel has come a long way but still not as good as some of the high speed reloads plus try to find duplex steel loads which work great for me
Cut some factory steel loads open and just look at the shot and tell me how many pellets will fly christ they range is size and shape from round to square in many
Then you have others like the remingtons that will blown your gun up from the high pressures
Not to mention my two old 10ga golds likes to pull the bases right off the new crap hulls especially winchester or at least tear a groove in them
Take care

Honestly there are very few of us here reloading steel IMO. I started the year after it was mandatory when ever that was
I have never tried any of the BP stuff since I have found the perfect loads for me and my guns/ chokes in the rsi manuals and don't need any better after dead is dead
One friend I know uses all BP stuff in a 10ga and I know he loves how it performs
Wish I could be more help
Take care

3macs1, can you be so kind and help me to talk with your friend. Maybe I can find some answers to my questions.
I found in QC a store that sells all the components I need but I need to make sure I know what I buy before starting. Some of the recipes in that manual are so appealing but I still own to myself to proceed with diligence.

Send me a PM with what you are up to and I will ask him for you and get back to you
He is not on the internet or has a cell phone
I know he uses BP wads etc for his 10ga steel reloads since he gets hulls from me the odd time and keeps telling me I should switch
take care
