reloading steel for duck/goose shells

I tried the #6 load with 2 shot and pellets were still set in the base of the recouvered wads, but fell out with a tap or two. The larger pellets stayed in the base and were not coming out with tapping, seem larger pellets set back further and harder thusly becoming more deeply embedded.
Worked ont he #104 load with the felt spacer in bottom and no signs of set back, plus patterned very nice.Put all of the shot in 24" circle at 25 yards and still penetrates 1/4 particle board(#4 shot)
Will test my goose loads of #2 and bb and let you guys know how i made out. That #104 load with STEEL powder is a very nice load.
I have noticed that bb,t ect have made pin holes in the wad petals, but have seen no scratches or any kind of markings yet.I will try buffer in the # 6 load and see if the set back problem clears up. are you using standard WINCHESTER buffer or the one RSI recomends?

I finished the loads with STEEL POWDER(#104 LOAD). I switched to a FULL chocke and the groups tightened up real nice, about 50% in a 12" circle at 25 yards. Tried them on the low skeet house and all loads(#2,BB, and T)broke all birds at about 33 yards! Wow what a fun time.
Buffered my #6 loads and pellets not setting back in wads(sticking) any more.
Goose opens on Sept 1 and i think the #104 loads will do just fine.
